The International League Twenty20, also known as the ILT20, is a cricket competition held in the United Arab Emirates. Each team will play 20 overs. The league’s official name was announced to be the International League T20 in June 2022, around the same time the inaugural season was scheduled.

The ILT20 is a T20 cricket league primarily focused on franchises, with all participating teams managed and controlled by the franchise owners. Different cities of UAE are represented in each squad. Six teams are participating in the inaugural season of ILT20. In January and February of 2024, the league is expected to be held.

A professional men T20 league called the International T20 League (ILT20) will feature leading International players from around the world. The UAE Premier League looks to be quite successful in its inaugural season as cricket fans are taking immediate notice. The first edition of ILT20 has attracted the curiosity of leading players from around the world.

ILT20 Schedule 2024

Since this is the first season, it has been decided to schedule in January and February. The first match will be played on 13 January 2024 . There are 34 matches in which 06 teams will face each other in the ILT20 2024. The final match will start on February 12, 2024.

International League T20 Start Date 2024

As per the instructions of the Emirates Cricket Board, the International T20 League will start on January 13, 2024 .

ILT20 Format, Rules & Regulations 2024

In both home and away stadium settings, all teams compete against each other in a double round-robin format. In the event of a tie, each side will receive one point, while the winner will receive two.

The top three teams in the points standings after the double round robin will then advance to the playoff round. Run rate will be used to determine whether two teams qualify if they have the same number of points (NRR). The inaugural ILT20 tournament has a total of 34 matches, of which 31 are group stage matches, two are semi-finals, and one is a championship match. The winning team is declared the champion in the grand final.
