In 2015, Roman Powell made his List A career, taking 3/20 & scoring 31 runs on his debut & was named “Man of the Match” on his debut match. A middle order batter who occasionally bowls medium pace, Rowman Powell has been a semi regular presence in West Indies’ white-ball squads since the mid-2010s, without missing a spot.
Powell scored his maiden century against Ireland in 2018. In 2022, at the start of a year in which he enjoyed a long run in the West Indies T20I team, he scored 107 off 53 balls at home against England and a few games later, 68. And remained unbeaten with 61 runs against India and Bangladesh. He also played every game in his first IPL season for Delhi Capitals, ripping through the lower middle order to create an impressive run of scores.
