Patrick James Cummins (Nickname:Pat Cummins) is an Team Australian player. Now he is captain of the Australian National cricket team in Test & ODI format. A right -arm- fast bowler, Pat Cummins is currently regarded as one of the best bowlers in Test cricket in the world.

Pat Cummins Domestic Career
Pat Cummins started his junior cricket days playing for Glenbrook Cricket Club. He then made his debut in first-class cricket in 2010, playing for Penrith.
The 2010–11 season was his best season for domestic cricket and he emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the T20 Big Bash League 2010. In March 2011, he made his first-class debut in a match against Tasmania where he took their first four wickets.
Pat Cummins International Career
Pat Cummins’ international career began in November 2011 when he made his Test debut at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
Unfortunately, he suffered a heel injury that ruled him out for the entire summer of 2011–2012.
The following summer was a similar story as a stress fracture prevented him from playing as much as he would have liked. Pat Cummins was in the Ashes Test squad in 2015, but was not selected due to some reasons.
This poor run of injuries ended in 2016 when he returned to domestic cricket and became a key asset to the New South Wales ODI squad as well as the Sydney Thunder.
He then returned to Test cricket on 16 March 2017.
Over the next 2 years, he regained his form as a consistent & reliable bowler for his team.
On 26 Novmbr, 2021, Pat Cummins became the captain of the Australian men’s Test cricket team.
In 2023, Pat Cummins became the captain of the Australian men’s ODI cricket team.
Pat Cummins IPL Career
In the 2014 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) , Pat Cummins represented the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), but injuries prevented him from participating in the 2015 IPL.
After his comeback in 2017, Delhi Daredevils snapped him up.
Cummins did not feature for the next 02 seasons but was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2020 for Rs 15.5 crore.
The squad retained him in 2021 & offered Rs 7.25 crore to keep him for 01 more year.

Cummins became the youngest Australian player to take five wickets in Test cricket at the age of 18 years and 193 days. He achieved this feat on his Test debut in the second Test against South Africa in Johannesburg in November 2011.
In 2019, Cummins took 99 wickets in a calendar year – 59 in Tests, 31 in ODIs & 09 in T20I.
Cummins is the 2nd Australian captain since George Giffin in 1984 to take 05 wickets in his 1st Test as captain. He became the 1st captain since Bob Willis in 1982 to take five wickets in the Ashes.
