Rohit Sharma is a right-handed batsman who plays for the Indian cricket team and represents Mumbai in domestic cricket. He has also played a leadership role in being the captain of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit made his ODI debut in 2007 at the age of 20 and played his first T20I later in the year. Rohit gradually rose to become a permanent fixture in the Indian set-up but since 2013, he has established himself as an opening batsman in limited-overs matches. Rohit Sharma is most popular for his big scoring at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata where he scored 177 runs on debut in a Test. Love’s relationship with Eden Gardens grew when Rohit scored 264 runs against Sri Lanka, the highest individual score in ODIs, and in the process became the first batsman to score two double centuries in ODIs.
