About Last Season
Despite being a very good team that year, the 2008 IPL champions Rajasthan Royals were unable to make it to the postseason. Even before the IPL started, RR was one of the hottest contenders of the season.
Led by Sanju Samsung, the team managed to win only 7 of their 14 matches and finished fifth in the points table with 14 points. This is the same team that finished the 2022 IPL season second with 18 points after winning nine of their 14 matches.
In the 1st half of this season (IPL 2023), Rajasthan Royals (RR) won four out of the first seven games. Although they defeated strong rivals like Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, they still failed to advance to the playoffs as they managed to win only three of the remaining 07 games in the 2nd half of the season (IPL 2023).
