Josh Hazlewood International Career
Josh Hazlewood showed he belonged in Test cricket when he became the fastest player to take 50 wickets before Shane Warne or Glenn McGrath. His man-of-the-match performance in the pink-ball Test against New Zealand showed his best skills. Hazlewood has been one of Australia’s best performers in the Ashes in the 2017 and 2019 series, helping Australia retain the trophy on both occasions.
In the ODIs, he played a small but important role against Pakistan in Australia’s tense win. However, he is remembered for a knock in an ODI that was annoying. During the 2017 Auckland ODI against New Zealand, Hazlewood shared a fifty-run partnership for the last wicket with Marcus Stoins. His contribution was 0 and he faced 0 balls. When he was run out, he became the first man to be dismissed for a Diamond Duck in a 50-run stand.
