According To latest announcement by BCCI that Ranji Trophy 2024 to be played from 5th January 2024 to 14th March 2024.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced the schedule for the 89th edition of the Ranji Trophy. India’s premier domestic tournament Ranji Trophy is scheduled to be played from 5 January 2024. The tournament will be played for about two and a half months and the final will be played on March 14, 2024, a few weeks before the Indian Premier League season 17. 2024 is likely to start around the first week of April. Saurashtra are the reigning Ranji champions as they defeated Bengal in the final of the previous edition. Saurashtra have dominated the Ranji Trophy tournament for the past few seasons.

More Information About Ranji Trophy 2024

The Ranji Trophy will also have two divisions: Elite and Plate. The Elite Division will consist of 04 groups of 08 teams & the Plate Division will consist of 01 group of 06 teams.

An elite squad can compete in 10 multi-day games: seven league games, then semi-finals, finals and quarter-finals. Unlike white-ball competitions, there will be no amalgamation of elite and plate teams during the knockout stages of the Ranji Trophy.

According to pairings: A1 vs. C2, B1 vs. D2, C1 vs. A2, and D1 vs. B2, the top two teams from each of the four elite groups will automatically qualify for the quarterfinals.

The top four teams in the Plate division will face off in the semifinals using the traditional No. 1 vs. No. 4 and No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchups. Notably, the top two clubs from all elite groups (A/B/C/D & E) combined, based on points, bonus points, wins, and quota, will be relegated to the Plate Group. While the Plate Group Champions will be listed in the Elite Group in 2024. 25 seasons.

One of the greatest domestic cricket tournaments off all time in India is Ranji Trophy..The Ranji Trophy will starts on 05 January, 2024 & will continue till 14 March, 2024. The total 38 teams will be divided into 05 groups, with 04 elite groups.

Eight teams each, & the plate group will consist of 06 teams. Elite group teams will play 7 matches in the league stage and two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter finals. Elite Group B Runners up; QF Loser Rank 3; Elite Rank 10- 15- 18- 23- 26 & plate rank 1. The brigades in this group are Bengal, Andhra, Mumbai, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Bihar.

Elite Group C SF Loser Rank 1; QF disasters rank 2; Elite Rank 11, 14, 19, 22, 27 And Elite Rank 30. The brigades in this group are Karnataka, Punjab, Railroads, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Gujarat, Tripura and Chandigarh. Elite Group D SF Losers Rank 2; QF Loser Ranks 01 Elite Rank 12- 13- 20- 21- 28- 29. The brigades in this group are Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Baroda, Delhi, Odisha, Pondicherry, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Plate Group Elite Rank 31- 32& Plate Rank 3- 4- 5- 6. The brigades in this group are Nagaland, Hyderabad, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
