Marnus Labuschagne is a South African-born, Australian international cricketer who plays as a batsman for the Australian cricket team in Tests and ODIs. He plays locally for Queensland in Australian domestic cricket, Glamorgan in county cricket and Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League.

Marnus Labuschagne Domestic Career
He played for Queensland’s under-12, under-15, under-17 and under-19 teams before making his first-class debut in the Sheffield Shield at the age of 20 at the Adelaide Oval on 31 October 2014 and his debut against South Australia. Scored 83 runs in the innings. He captained the Queensland Under-19 team at the 2012–13 National Championships.
He played his first List A match on 5 October 2015 against Tasmania in the 2015 ODI Cup. In his eighth match in the Sheffield Shield, he scored his maiden first-class century with a score of 112 against South Australia at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Brisbane. In the 2016 ODI Cup, he was named Man of the Tournament after scoring 273 runs at an average of 45 in the tournament. In the 2017–018 Sheffield Shield won by his team Queensland, he emerged as the tournament’s top run scorer with 795 runs at 39.75 with two centuries and the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer. He was named in the Sheffield Shield team as Season by Cricket Australia.
Marnus Labuschagne International Career
Labuschene made his Test debut against Pakistan Team on 7 October, 2018 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (UAE). The home side scored 482 runs in the first innings. The debutant picked up a wicket & was involved in the run out wicket. He was then dismissed for nil in his first innings as Australia could only score 202 runs. Pakistan batted again & set a target of 462 runs. Once again the debutant took a wicket & a catch. The Australian team saved the Test as they ended the day on 362/8 after Libeschen contributed 13.
Labuschagne has enjoyed a great run with India. It was in 2014 when he made his first impression in cricket with a brilliant catch off Nathan Lyon. After becoming one of the best cricketers in the world, Labuschene performed well against India. In the 2019/20 series, he scored 464 runs at an average of 51. This included two brilliant fifties in Sydney and a century in Brisbane. His ODI debut was also against India in which he started with 46 and a fifty.
