Devdutt Padikkal is a talented Indian cricketer born on July 7, 2000, in Edapal, Kerala. He’s a left-handed top-order batter and a right-arm offbreak bowler ¹. Standing at 5’9″ with a lean build, Padikkal has already made a significant impact in the cricket world.
Early Life and Education of Devdutt
Padikkal’s family moved to Hyderabad and later to Bangalore, where he began training at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket. He attended Army Public School and St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School in Bangalore, and later graduated from St. Joseph’s College .
Devdutt Career
Padikkal’s cricket career took off when he was selected by Bellary Tuskers in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) in 2017. He made his first-class debut for Karnataka in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy and his List A debut in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy .

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Padikkal played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from 2020 to 2021, winning the Emerging Player Award in his debut season. He was later traded to Rajasthan Royals and then to Lucknow Super Giants.
International Career Of Padikkal
Padikkal made his T20I debut for India on July 28, 2021, against Sri Lanka. He scored 29 runs in his debut match. In February 2024, he was named in India’s Test squad as a replacement for KL Rahul and scored 65 runs in his debut Test innings.
