History:
The Zimbabwe national cricket team represents Zimbabwe in men’s international cricket and is managed by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe has been a full member of the International Cricket Council since 1991 and made its Test debut in 1992 against India.
The Zimbabwe cricket team has a long and proud history, dating back to the country’s independence in 1980. The team has produced some of the world’s finest cricketers, including the great Zimbabwean batsman Dave Houghton. The team has also been competitive at the highest levels, winning the ICC Trophy in 1986 and qualifying for the World Cup in 1992, 1999 and 2007.
The Zimbabwe National Cricket Team is one of the ten Test cricket playing nations. The team is administer by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test and One Day International (ODI) status. As of November 2018, Zimbabwe is rank tenth in the ICC Test Championship and ninth in the ICC ODI Championship.
