Arshad’s birthplace is Maneri Payan village located in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Arshad is a right arm fast bowler & a right arm batter. Arshad Iqbal started his career as a cricketer in 2015 when he was a teenager. He made his debut with the Abbottabad U-16 team in the PCB-PEPSI Cricket Stars U-16 two-day tournament in 2015. In May, 2016, Arshad played with the Swabi U 19 team in the Regional Inter-District U 19 Tournament 2016–017. Arshad was selected for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) team in the Pantangular Under 19 T20 Cup 2017/18, his 1st T20 debut. Later in 2018, he made his List A debut on 16, Oct 2018 for Team Water & Power Development Authority in the Quaid-e-Azam ODI Cup.

In 2020, Arshad became part of Karachi Kings (KK) in Pakistan Super League Season 05, their 1st match was against Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium Karachi. Arshad is playing for Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League Season 8 (2023). He is giving his best performance as a bowler in the league.
