Jofra Archer is a Barbadian & English cricketer who represents England national cricket team in international cricket. He is a right arm fast bowler. In domestic cricket he plays for Sussex as well as several T20 (Domestic) franchises. He was born on 1 April, 1995 in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Jofra Archer Domestic Career
He trained at Pickwick Cricket Club in Barbados &played many matches for them. Made his county cricket debut for Sussex in a match against the visiting Pakistan national team on 8 July 2016 and took 5 wickets for 73 runs in the match. He played his T20 debut for Sussex on 15 July 2016 in the NatWest T20 Blast against Hampshire and took 1 for 27 runs. He made his ODI debut for Sussex against Gloucestershire in the Royal London ODI Cup on 24 July 2016, taking 1 for 48..
Jofra Archer International Career
He made his Test debut on 14 August 2019 against Australia in the second Test of the 2019 Ashes series at Lord’s, London.
He played his ODI debut on 3 May 2019 against Ireland in Dublin, Ireland and took 1 wicket for 40 runs. On 1 February 2023, he took his first ODI five-wicket haul against South Africa at Kimberley, South Africa, taking 6 for 40 runs.
He was selected in the England squad for the 2019 ODI World Cup held in England and was the highest wicket-taker for England with 20 wickets in 11 matches. He played all 11 matches for England and scored a superb over against New Zealand in the final, helping England win the World Cup.
He played his first T20I match on 5 May 2019 against Pakistan in Cardiff, Wales and took 2 wickets for 29 runs. On 18 March 2021, he took 4 for 33 against India in Ahmedabad, India.

Jofra Archer IPL Salary
The right-arm fast bowler was signed by Mumbai Indians for Rs 8 crore in the IPL 2022 auction. However, Jofra Archer could not play due to a back injury. Archer will get the same amount from the Mumbai franchise to play in IPL 2023.
Jofra Archer Injury
The middle finger of his right hand was injured when he accidentally broke a fish tank while cleaning his house in January 2021. He suffered a stress fracture in his right elbow and underwent surgery in May 2021 to remove a piece of bone from his elbow. In December 2021, he underwent another surgery to treat the same injury. In May 2022, he suffered a stress fracture in his lower back which sidelined him for 6 months. He returned to international cricket in January 2023.
